Walk Out Into Your Own Paradise

Plant a Tree Make our City Cool School Program

Teaching our future generations that 'Trees are Good'

We are passionate about encouraging the general public to plant trees. We see the need to go one step further and educate the future generation, our children, about the benefits of trees in an urban environment. Each year since 2008 the team at Western Landscape Services has been delivering educational sessions to area Elementary School children to 'Plant a Tree, Make our City Cool'!

During the months of April to May, and September to November we plant one 45mm caliper tree at each of ten Kingston and area elementary schools free of charge. Our certified Arborist / Horticulturist and his team plant a tree with Grade 6 students teaching them the importance of trees in our community. Not only are children educated on the valuable skill of how to plant a tree, but how to care for a tree once it is planted. Children are each given a seedling to take home to plant at a location of their choice.

If your school interested in participating in 'Plant a Tree, Make our City Cool' please download the 'Tree Planting Information and Registration Form for Elementary Schools' and fax to 613-389-3693 or contact Carol by email.
